The Health and Safety Executive have indicated that stress is likely to become the most dangerous risk to business in the early part of the 21st century.*
How we can help:
Our first step is a complimentary diagnostic session to establish how well you are meeting your stress management and duty of care requirements under the Health and Safety at Act Work Act/Regulations (1974/1999) This can include an assessment of your existing stress management policy, if you have one.
If you do not have a formal policy, we will work with you, based on the approaches outlined below, to help you create a practical, proactive and legally compliant solution.
There are 4 main, accepted approaches which organisations can adopt to manage stress at work. These can be used together as a single initiative or may be adopted individually in a more step-by-step wellbeing programme:
- Policy, procedures and systems audit.
- Problem centred approach
- Wellbeing approach
- Employee centred approach
Following this, we will create a bespoke programme which can be tailored to suit everyone at every level in your organisation; stress is indiscriminate and not just confined to the Boardroom!
Our action plan may range from employee stress audits through to stress awareness training for managers. Our emphasis is always on the proactive management of employee wellbeing as a way to control and reduce stress. Accepted stress management interventions now include relaxation techniques, promotion of healthy behaviour and exercise. *
Courses can be anything from 3 hours to 3 days in duration dependent on your needs.
We can provide training on-site or at one of our chosen premier locations and we are happy to provide both individual and group programmes.
We will agree measurable outcomes with you for each programme we implement as we understand the importance of return on investment.
